The market was valued at 44 million pounds sterling in 1996, which represents an increase of 548% from 1992, and 88% from 1995. A further 299% growth by the year 2000 is forecast. The magazines are published both by the leading publishing houses and by smaller companies. They usually cost between 2.50 and 2.70 pounds sterling, and 'FHM' and 'Loaded' are the biggest sellers.
