How Labour lost: the election results
Article Abstract:
The results of the UK's Apr 1992 general election are attributed to tactical voting patterns and regional politics. The Labour Party was aided by tactical voting in areas where the Liberal Democrats were weak, but the victorious Conservative Party held onto its strong support in the South and Midlands regions.

Eurosceptics, those skeptical about the success of a single euro currency, are decreasing in the Labor Party, but increasing in the Tory Party. This was somewhat evident at the 1996 Tory and Labor Party Conferences.Required spending reductions and taxes increases may change positions of some.
