INDO-RAMA LOOKING FOR NEW SITES TO SET UP PTA PLANT
Article Abstract:
The Indo-Rama group which plans to set up a Rs2,000 crore purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant is on the look for a proper site. The group had earlier identified Cheepurpalli near Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh for setting up the plant. But after taking into account of several factors the group had to drop its plan. Managalore may likely to become an ideal site for the group for setting up of the PTA plant. The project is a joint venture between Indo-Rama, Mitsui Petrochemicals and Itochu Corporation of Japan. Indo-Rama holds the majority stake in the project. (gs)
