Though many investors are hopeful that European stock markets will see an increase this autumn, analysts for the most part are pointing to reasons why such an increase may well not materialize. Earnings momentum, a potential indicator that there will be an upswing, does not look good, and the plan of many investors to unload stocks in the case of an upswing could abort any gains before they have any chance to take hold.
