People who wish to run their own business must show great determination, according to George Hammersley, chief executive of Business Ventures. This initiative, which receives funding from the Glasgow Development Agency and Scottish Enterprise, aims to bring together potential entrepreneurs to create management teams and start businesses with the potential for a large turnover. It runs four 10-week programmes a year, with all delegates being required to have investment capital of 20,000 pounds sterling or more.
