Inside the image of what a bank should be
Article Abstract:
Renovation work undertaken by architectural firm Cogswell Horne on 3i's building in Waterloo, London, England, has involved reconstructing the reception area. A pavement-level entrance which can also be used as exhibition space has been created, and coated steel has been used to clad the first four storeys of the 16-storey building. Many different lighting effects can be achieved with a computer-controlled lighting system, and double-height walls permit outsize images.

Style dictator creates harmony in Soho
Article Abstract:
A strong impression of harmony has been created by architect Nico Rensch in a 100 sq mt loft apartment in Soho, London, England. The 84,000 pounds sterling scheme has features including opaque Japanese-style timber and paper sliding doors which separate the main bedroom, living area and guest bedroom, and a bank of floor-to-ceiling timber doors hiding storage space and the guest bedroom. The design retains the exposed brickwork of the existing front wall.
