London business school plans program for mobile executives

The London Business School teamed up with the Columbia Business School in New York in offering a new M.B.A. program. The effort is also a plan of the London Business School to rebrand itself from a parochial to a modern school catering to jet-setting executives. Overall cost of the program is $100,000 and will alternately be held in London and New York.

U.K. to investigate safety policies of Securicor unit

The U.K. government stated that it was investigating Securicor ADI, a division of Securicor Group PLC, the largest airport-security company in the U.K., to determine whether Securitor staff are being allowed to work in sensitive airport positions without full anti-terrorist checks.

Insider trading alleged in shares of Dow Jones: Hong Kong pair is sued by SEC over purchases; possible tie to director

The United States Securities and Exchange Commission has filed a lawsuit against husband-and-wife investors Kan King Wong and Charlotte Ka On Wong Leung on insider trading charges related to the announced sale of Dow Jones and Company Inc. to The News Corporation Ltd. The couple had purchased $15 mil of Dow Jones stock two weeks prior to the announcement, and sold it three days after the announcement for $8.2 mil in profit. The couple has business and social connections to Dow Jones director David Li; the SEC is expected to investigate.
