Intesa is open to tie-ups to control Telecom Italia

Intesa Sanpaolo SpA has announced it will join other financial institutions to buy Telecom Italia S.p.A., but the Italian bank did not rule out possible partnerships with non-Italian bidders AT&T and America Movil S.A. The Italian government has objected to foreign ownership of Telecom Italia.
