Star Cruises sails ahead, but with few investors aboard
Article Abstract:
Prospects for Star Cruises appear promising, as the Malaysian cruise-ship company registered record-breaking share prices in 1999. Efforts to reduce operational costs and increase profit margins, substantially contributed to the company's bottom line, making it one of the fastest growing companies in the country. Despite such gains, however, Star Cruise has yet found a major investor to fund its future operations. Industry analysis view the event as a mere pricing issue.
