Israel markets its jubilee via controversial documentary

The Israel Broadcasting Authority (IBA), Israel's public broadcaster, has come up with two condensed English-language versions of the historical series titled Tkuma (Rebirth) to mark the 50th anniversary of the founding of Israel. Tkuma is a 22-hour Hebrew series which is currently being aired on Israel's Channel One. Tkuma has a two-hour version to fit slots on commercial stations and a six-hour version for public broadcasters, according to Oded Guy, director of marketing and sales at the IBA and co-executive producer of the international versions.

Retailers with online and brick-and-mortar operations are increasingly using electronic coupons to drive up their businesses. Around 1% of the coupons redeemed in 1999 in the US were source from the Internet. The growing market for e-coupons has spurred couponing houses like Val-Pak and SavingUMoney.com to boost their operations and introduce innovative ideas in couponing, targetting particularly the small- and medium businesses.
