It's better if you're white
Article Abstract:
Ethnic minorities tend to receive poorer health care in the US, and many Latinos and African Americans lack medical insurance and live in poverty. There is also concern that doctors could be biased against patients from minorities. Latinos fare better than African Americans in terms of death rates, which may be due to family support, or may be because women among new Hispanic immigrants smoke less. Language barriers can still be a problem for Latinos, and certain health maintenance organizations are seeking to boost awareness of different cultures in medical practice.

So far, so-so
Article Abstract:
The United Kingdom government has made a great effort in putting forward polices in areas such as education and health, but their success in these areas cannot easily be evaluated. Some time must elapse before the policies cann be assessed, since reforms show results over the long term. A new administrative layer given the name of 'primary-care groups' has been set up in the National Health Service. Meanwhile, in education, the government has to resist pressure from teachers' labor unions.
