Japan, India seek to boost trade

Shinzo Abe, Japan's prime minister, is promoting a bilateral trade agreement with India that is expected to almost triple trade between the nations during the next three years. India-Japan trade reached approximately $7.3 bil during the fiscal year ending March 31. India imported $4.5 bil of Japanese goods while exporting $2.8 bil of Indian goods to Japan.
