Joint price and lot size determination under conditions of permissible delay in payments and quantity discounts for freight cost
Article Abstract:
The optimal price and lot size for a retailer are simultaneously derived under conditions in which the retail demand of the good is a constant price elasticity function of the retail price, the freight cost has a quantity discount and the supplier gives a fixed credit period for the amount owed to be paid. Analysis of the characteristics of an optimal solution permits the construction of an algorithm whose validity is tested through an example problem.

Towards a decision support system for the ready concrete distribution system: a case of a Greek company
Article Abstract:
An approach to design a Decision Support System for dynamic routing of various types of vehicles necessary for the distribution of ready concrete products and the corresponding parameters are analyzed. A prototype Decision Support System used in a Greek concrete distribution company is presented as a case study supporting the analysis.
