KPMG's Flynn takes the helm at a stormy time

KPMG Consulting Inc. of the United States has appointed Timothy Flynn Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. KPMG Consulting Inc. is accused of the alleged sale of abusive tax shelters and is to negotiate a settlement with United States regulators. Mr. Flynn issued a damange-control statement saying the financial services company does not sell the tax shelters in question any longer, those responsible are no longer with the company and has reforms in place "to ensure the highest ethical standards."

India infrastructure fund to launch London vehicle
Article Abstract:
India Infrastructure Finance Co. has obtained regulatory approval from the UK government to establish a London-based investment vehicle to utilize foreign-exchange reserves for an infrastructure improvement plan. IIFC, owned by the Indian government, will use $5 bil to upgrade ports, airports, roads, and railways; the project is expected to reach $492 bil by year-end 2012.
