KSHEMA TO INVEST Rs5 CR IN EXPANSIONS
Article Abstract:
Kshema Technologies (KT) of Bangalore plans to spend Rs5 crore to expand its software operations in India. The infusion of money will be made as a second tier investment in the form of private placement. The income of KT are expected to go up to $2 million by 1998-99 and $10 million by 2000-2001 AD ($0.25 million now). A second facility will be opened in Bangalore for software operations with funds accruing from Sivan Securities (SS). Of the total project cost of Rs3.5 crore, SS has brought in Rs2.5 crore and the rest are loans from banks. (gsh)

CHAUHAN TO SPEND Rs40 CR ON BUILDING UP BISLERI SODA

Mr Ramesh Chauhan, the promoter of Aqua Bisleri India Ltd, plans to invest Rs40 crore for promoting the Bisleri brand in the soda market. Out of this investment Rs15 crore is to be spent on producing 3 crore bottles and about Rs5 crore on specially designed plastic crates. A fleet of 300 trucks, each costing Rs5- 6 lakh, are also to be acquired. Mr Chauhan hopes to increase sales of Bisleri soda from 8 million cases now to 16 million cases within a year. (khr)
