The aesthetically pleasing construction is making its way over from Europe called 'options' and it allows to an extent a flexibility in its out- turn design and external appearance to suit the clients requirement and requirements of the site. The 'options' in terms of appearance, timescale, capital and running costs these type of housing could salvage the challenged reputation of molecular construction and lead to the much vaunted resurgence of speedy, attractive and desirable dwelling.

Modern modular houses are based on prefabricated, factory-produced, easy-to-transport units, however, the concept of individual modular residential dwellings is yet to get popular in the United Kingdom. A Dutch firm, Flexine has now collaborated with a firm of architects to take forward an existing form of steel-framed residential modular construction and this project is a development for the occupants at Hengelo, in Netherlands.
