Li Shutong is one of many Chinese entrepreneuers in Japan manufacturing and selling motorcycles under the names of other professional companies. Shutong used to run Taizhou Yamaha Motorcycle, taking the name of prestigious Yamaha to sell his products, which are less expensive and slightly less dependable than the true Yamaha motorcycles. Masayuki Hosokawa, employed by Yamaha, charged Shutong with systematic piracy, leading him to change his company's name to Japan High-Grade Motors.

According to stockholders, the current system in China tends to favor large companies rather than the individual. Although these corporate lawsuits keep surfacing, the Chinese government is aware that attention should be paid to the rights of the individual.
