UK: TRYG-BALTICA TO INCREASE STAKE IN COMPANY

The Danish insurance company Tryg-Baltica is to increase its stake in the London-based reinsurance company Colonia Baltica to 100% from 50%. The German company Axa Colonia will sell off its 50% stake, according to a letter-of-intent. Colonia Baltica operates both on the British market and foreign markets. The company has 78 employees in Manchester and Birmingham. Premium revenues totalled GBP 40mn in 1998.

LITHUANIA: CODAN HAS INCREASED STAKE
Article Abstract:
The Danish insurance company Codan's stake in the Lithuanian insurance company Lietuvos Draudimas has been increased to 78% from 70%. The stake was acqiured through a new share issue totaling about DKr 10mn (USD 1.4mn), to which Codan contributed with 100%.
