Lafarge to sell roofing business for $2.61 billion

Lafarge S.A. of France is to divest its roofing business to PAI Partners also of France for 1.96 billion Euros ($2.61 billion). The private equity firm will assume 420 million Euros in debt and pension committments. Lafarge S.A. is consolidating its cement and core businesses.
