Lee guides Cheil's grab for glamour in wake of DreamWorks investment

Cheil Foods and Chemical Exec. Dir Miky Lee is spearheading the company's entry into the multimedia and entertainment market through its new unit, Lee Entertainment. Lee had successfully negotiated an investment agreement with DreamWorks SKG, allowing Lee Entertainment to gain distribution rights to all DreamWorks products in exchange for a $300 million investment. Lee disclaimed criticisms that Cheil Foods lacks the experience to handle multimedia and entertainment.

India finds canned answers for its agricultural questions

India has developed its agriculture industry and is poised to become one of the world's largest processed foods exporter. To achieve such an ambitious goal, however, India needs to develop its roads and other transportation networks. It also needs to cultivate its retail network which is largely composed of small retail stores. In addition, the agriculture industry needs to project an image of high-quality to enable it to become a major processed food exporter.

Kraft looks to build up its presence in China on a foundation made of Jell-O and Kool-Aid
