CCS Ceska spolecnost pro platebni karty (Prague, Czech Republic), cash card publisher, saw a turnover of over CEK 18 bil in 2000. The number of active CCS cards was nearly 350,000 at the end of 2000. CCS cards can be used in more than 4,000 places including 1,837 petrol stations, 1,875 repair and service shopts, 383 hotels and restaurants, nine supermarkets and hypermarkets.

Ceskoslovenska plavba labska (CSPL) (Decin, Czech Republic), river shipping company, saw a loss of CEK 724 mil in 2000. The firm has started its restructuring owing to unprofitable economy. CSPL wants to sell or rent its shipyards and further unproductive property. Prospectively, the firm wants to be involved in shipping and goods transshipment only.
