Limits on flights to Hong Kong plague carriers vying for piece of Asia's skies
Article Abstract:
Government regulations have prevented various airlines from offering additional flights to Hong Kong. Air Canada's flights have been limited to four flights a week per route. The restrictions were intended to prevent the firm's service from killing other Canadian airlines. Similarly, Ansett Australia's flights were limited to balance out competition. However, the firms contend that their flights should be increased to maintain their competitiveness against other firms.
