London City enters a new phase

London City Airport managing director Richard Gooding anoounced that the airport has surpassed the predicted 1.2 million passengers a year as of Oct 2000. The airport already has its vision towards handling 3.5-4 million passengers a year that it expects to reach by 2010. As of Feb 2001, some 13 airlines fly from London City to five UK destinations and 18 in continental Europe.

Warsaw triples capacity
Article Abstract:
Thje Polish Airports State Enterprise has initiated several measures to decongest Warsaw-Okecie Airport. The airport authority plans to build a second terminal at the airport to cope with higher passenger traffic. To be built at a total cost of US$300 million, the second terminal will have a capacity of six million passengers. A new railway station is being planned for the airport, which will link the airport to Warsaw's central rail station.
