Ma Bell restored
Article Abstract:
AT and T has seen some recovery in its stock price, though the company's plans for fixed wireless, and its report on cable should have attracted more attention from analysts. The company's stocks have been rated a 'buy' by Jack Grubman from Salomon, a change from the previous rating of 'hold'. Grubman appears to have realized that AT and T's investment in cable could bear fruit. Commercial trials appear to bear this out, and non-cable properties acquired with cable deals are being sold, cutting the cost of the investment.
