The Filipino scientist, Hernani Golez has spent 14 years to persuade the US to certify the central Philippines island of Guimaras Weevil (a winged brown pest), a free and permit mango exports. He admits that his ultimate goal is to top against Mexico and Brazil who are the major players in international mango trade.
