Compact timetable puts deal on the record
Article Abstract:
Deutsche Morgan Grenfell (DMG) has recently managed the 550 million Swedish krone buyout of compact disc producer Toolex Alpha from its Swedish parent company. This deal had to be completed in a very short time, as the vendor was putting a lot of pressure on DMG. Bank finance was obtained from the London market, as the local Swedish banking market is relatively uncompetitive.

Convergence rather than collision
Article Abstract:
The management buyout market in continental Europe tends to differ considerably from country to country, with domestic deals often being smaller than those in the UK. However, pan-European deals are generally larger, and are frequently put together in the UK. Privately initiated and negotiated deals take place more frequently in continental Europe than in the UK.
