With the demand for raw materials high and commodity prices continuing to rise , mining companies are requiring more equipment and machinery to meet the demand for greater production. In turn, construction and mining equipment makers such as Caterpillar Inc. are experiencing greater demand for their products. The effort of equipment manufacturer s to meet demand at the same time that they are faced with the high cost of production materials themselves, is discussed.
