Mathematical models for applying cell suppression methodology in statistical data protection
Article Abstract:
Four mathematical models are developed to find a cell suppression pattern that would minimize information loss while guaranteeing protection level requirements for different sensitive cells and different intruders. An alternative method that produces patterns by shrinking all the different intruders into one is also developed and compared with the above multi-attacker and the classical single-attacker approaches.

Nonlinear integer programming for optimal allocation in stratified sampling
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to determine the optimal sample size of each group of a stratified random sampling plan. Various versions of the problem can be transformed into a specific nonlinear program with a convex objective function, bounded variables and a single linear constraint. Linearization and dynamic programming techniques which can be utilized to solve stratified sampling problems were then examined.

A mixed integer formulation for maximal covering by inclined parallelograms
Article Abstract:
The role of parallelograms in integer programming is discussed. The solution for maximal covering problem is provided thro introduction of zero-one mixed integer formulation. The use of alternative algorithms for solving covering by inclined parallelograms is examined.
