A London architect specialising in designing compact urban residences undertook the refurbishment of a one bedroom flat within an Edwardian mansion block. New oak floors were installed and a mezzanine was reconstructed. His other work includes the conversion of a garage into a studio flat, incorporating a kitchen, bed sitting room and bathroom. His work is typified by cool colours, fine joinery and combined living spaces.

Bolt-on 'power-pack' retains integrity of holiday home
Article Abstract:
Architect Noel Wright linked with furniture designer and maker Rory Barratt to design a 12,500 pounds sterling extension to a holiday home known as 'The Hut' situated on the Cornish coast. This houses a kitchen, shower/wash space, lobby and storage space. It is designed to complement the original structure, and uses traditional materials, including a timber frame.
