Article Abstract:
The Architecture Education Trust (AET) set up under the auspices of architect Alan Phillips is considered as a new international education foundation for the promotion of architecture and the associated arts are discussed. The main aim of this trust is to promote architecture in schools and to encourage youngsters to take up the profession targeting mainly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The economics of architecture and the important concept of added value are discussed. Add value is described as a strategy that focuses a project to open up undiscovered uses and spaces, thus seeking ways to differentiate them from the rest and sustain in today's competitive world.
