Misys expects growth to slow as orders are deferred
Article Abstract:
Misys PLC posted an improvement in its pretax profits of 39% for the year ending on May 31, 1999. This figure came before one-time items. Misys, a software company based in the UK, posted 124 million pound sterling (188.9 million euros) in pretax profits for the year. The company's banking and securities software divisions were the prime reasons for Misys' pretax profit growth. However, the company is expected to see slower growth by the end of 1999 as banks move away from Y2K-ready programs.
