Latest technology is making it possible for scientists to produce computer models that precisely replicate the structure and activity of human tissues. This will allow much more detailed information to be obtained about how organs work than is possible with animal experimentation. It will be possible to test new treatments electronically before they are tried on people, as well as to make detailed tests of many different compounds. Efforts are being made to ensure that laboratories working on virtual organs work together.

A study by London Business School shows that the amount of money spent on an advertising campaign may be more effective than a message. A more extensive campaign allows consumers to evaluate a product over the long term.
