Glock may accept gun restrictions

Glock GmbH, an Austrian manufacturer of firearms, is willing to submit to business practice restrictions in exchange for protection from U.S. government lawsuits. Glock follows Smith and Wesson's example of exchanging federal oversight for protection from class action proceedings.

More U.S. cities are banning trade-ins, resale of old police guns
Article Abstract:
The International Assn of Chiefs of Police and the US Conference of Mayors have joined several US cities and states in asking for a ban on old police weapons entering the consumer market because these weapons could be purchased by criminals. This practice has been in operation for 20 years and so police departments could pay less for new weapons.

Colt's agrees to acquire Germany's Heckler & Koch
