'Optimism with new quotas' - says union leader

Despite the high fuel prices and uncertainty in quotas, Denmark's fishing industry is optimistic about the prospects of the industry as was observed at the DanFish International 2005. The main reason for this optimism is that the vessel quota share plan has been approved by the country's parliament.

South Africa selling abalone cache
