Nextra is awarded a licence to ensure voice services

Nextra CR (Prague, Czech Republic), IT service provider, was awarded a licence to ensure voice services by the Czech Telecommunication Office on 30 Apr 2001. Nextra will ensure public telephone services through a stationary telecommunication network throughout the Czech territory. Nextra will offer services to its current clients first and to other business entities during the next few months. Nextra operates in 13 European countries. It utilizes one of the largest and safest backbone networks in central Europe. It offers a wide range of communication services based on the protocol IP including services for connection to the Internet, server hosting at data centres, telecommunication services and the services of the installation of virtual private networks.

Axial ventilator fans from Prachatice
Article Abstract:
Klima (Prachatice, Czech Republic), airconditioning equipment manufacturer, expects contracts related to the reconstruction of trains for the underground in Prague in 2000 and 2001. Klima is manufacturing axial ventilator fans for the reconstructed trains. They are taken by Skoda Dopravni technika (Plzen, Czech Republic), which ensures the reconstruction. In the middle of 2000 Klima produced 10 pieces of the ventilator fans for two five-coach trains. By the end of 2000 the company may produce 27 pieces for another five trains. In 2001 Klima expects to produce 35 ventilator fans for the underground in Prague and five for a train of the underground in Kiev, Ukraine.

Turbines for a sugar refinery in Egypt
Article Abstract:
ABB Energeticke systemy (Czech Republic), engineering firm, will supply two steam turbines for the sugar refinery Fayoum in Egypt in October 1999. ABB was awarded the contract worth a total of 22.3 mil FFR in August 1998. The contract includes the supplies and commissioning of two turbo-generators with accessories, steam piping, a bridge crane and electrical equipment for a machine room. The equipment should be commissioned in March 2000 at the latest.
