Norway's costly king crab invasion
Article Abstract:
The red king crabs introduced by the Russia in the 1960s has invaded the Norwegian waters and cause extensive damage to the ecosystem by its feeding and by transferring parasites. The crabs also cause commercial losses to the fishermen fishing in the region by ruining nets and baits.

Humane stunning machine fitted in crab factory

The Blue Sea Food Co., a United Kingdom based shellfish factory is using two new stunners for killing crabs in a more humane way. The salient features of these stunners or the Crustastuns are discussed. University of Bristol and the Silsoe Research Institute in Bedford.
