CRUDE PRODUCTION SLIPS 4 PERCENT, GAS OUTPUT UP
Article Abstract:
Crude oil production in India declined by four percent to 21.67 million tonnes between April to November 1998 (22.58 million tonnes in April-November 1997). During 1997-98, crude oil production registered an increase of 2.9 percent to 33.86 million tonnes. The ongoing renovation works at the Bombay High and the Neelam oilfields have affected crude oil production. Production of natural gas grew by 6.9 percent to 18.24 billion cubic metres (BCM). Refinery production increased by three percent to 41.67 million tonnes. (uh)(vr)
