Skanska's 1st-half profit increased 64%

Skanska AB posted an improvement of 64% in its profits for the first-half of 1999. The company also said that it expects to see strong results for the entire 1999 year. Skanska is the largest construction and property group in Sweden. The group posted 4.93 billion kronor (566.4 million euros) in pretax profits for the period. During the same period in 1998, Skanska posted 3.01 billion kronor.
