PLDT and Globe reach agreement on access charges
Article Abstract:
Globe Telecom Inc. and Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT) have signed a deal to reduce access charges. Under the deal, PLDT will pay 6.50 pesos (15 European cents) per minute for calls from its network to Globe mobile phones. The previous access charge was 8.50 pesos per minute.

Roaming-Charge caps clear key EU hurdle
Article Abstract:
A European Parliament committee approved a limit of 40 European cents per minute for outgoing cellular telephone calls within the European Union, and 15 cents for incoming calls. The limits do not include value-added tax. The proposal will come before the entire Parliament in May 2007.
