Making the information systems outsourcing decision: a transaction cost approach to analyzing outsourcing decision problems
Article Abstract:
Research was conducted to examine a transaction cost approach for the analysis of major aspects of information systems (IS) outsourcing decision-problems that are overlooked in existing cost-benefit methods. The model was used to show how the single and multi-vendor approaches can be compared. Results demonstrate that the model allows decision makers to carry out a more comprehensive analysis of IS outsourcing decision problems.
