Parameterisation Algorithms for the Integer Linear Programs in Binary Variables

Article Abstract:

Sensitivitivity and parameterisation in integer programming is a relatively new area. An integer programming problem is considered, and previous approaches and results by Roodman extended. Roodman, through partial optimization, exploited information available to conduct ranging analysis and parameter change analysis. His results are extended and construct a parametric function for any single parameter of (P) which resembles that familiar in linear programming. The integer programming problem is defined and three algorithms are introduced and proven. The proposed algorithms are written in Fortran and computer test results are included. Tables and formulae are included.

A decision support system (DSS) was formulated to improve the strategic flexibility of manufacturing companies. The system specifically aims to enhance the ability of an organization's information systems to assist a wider range of corporate strategies. Aside from strategic flexibility, the DSS developed also gives importance to the development of competency through a cost benefit analysis.
