On August 4, 2003, Hyundai's Chung Mong Hun, committed suicide. He was under intensive investigation for his role as the promoter of business ties between North and South Korea. The policy he had promoted, called "Sunshine policy" that enabled average South Koreans to visit North Korea, is now in question.
