EH101 takes the lead in Portugal
Article Abstract:
The Anglo/Italian EH101 is considered the best of the three leading contenders for the Portuguese air force's CSAR requirement. The other two contenders, Eurocopter's Mk2 Cougar and the Sikorsky S-92 were perceived to have problems. However, Eurocopter considers that the game is not over since the EH101 is too expensive. To achieve the Azores profile, it has to cut one of its engines. Eurocopter still hopes to be part of the short list.
