Architects Benevolent Society (ABS) new business manager Norman Webster is profiled. Webster is trying to do something about that fact that although ABS would like to spend a maximum UKPd1 mil/yr on aiding profession members, it actually UKPd30,000/yr in donations. Webster believes that ABS revenues could rise to UKPd100,000/yr in the upcoming 2 yrs and UKPd300,000/yr by 2007.

Riad boss in ARB about-turn
Article Abstract:
Douglas Reid, president of the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS), who had earlier asked architects in Scotland to vote for a particular candidate in the Architecture Reserve Board (ARB) has now reversed his decision. The previous decision was taken to act against the ARB Review Group.

Selina Mason, the new director of architecture and design review at CABE, expects her job to be challenging and high profile. She believes that design reviews should not be made public because if panel members were explicitly mentioned in the press, it would have a negative effect on design review.
