Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V. of the Netherlands posted 1.44 billion Euro ($1.74 billion) net profit increase, soaring by 23 percent. Even though sales of semiconductors and medical equipment were down. The consumer electronics manufacturer is the largest by revenue in Europe.
