Philips's profit skids 79%, sending share price down

Koninklijke Philps Electronics N.V. of the Netherlands has reported a 79 percent decline in first quarter profits falling to 117 million Euro. Semiconductor and flat-panel screen sales are down in the first quarter with total sales at 6.64 billion Euro and shares fell three percent to 19.41 Euro on the Amsterdam stock exchange yesterday.
