Pioneer does not agree with the decision of Daewoo Avia
Article Abstract:
Daewoo Avia (DA) (Prague, Czech Republic), motor company, will decrease its stock from 1.725 bil Kc to 1 bil Kc in 1998. A reason for the step, which was agreed by DA's general assembly in July 1998, is the covering of a part of the 1993-1997 cumulative loss. The general assembly also decided to increase DA's stock from 1 bil Kc to 2.625 bil Kc, which will be realised by subscription to 2.802 mil shares with a nominal value of 580 Kc per share. The shares will not be marketable on the public markets and will be taken by Daewoo (South Korea), which is DA's majority shareholder. Pioneer ceska investicni spolecnost (Czech Republic), important minority shareholder in DA, does not agree with the step, which injures Czech minority shareholders in DA.
