The age of adventure
Article Abstract:
ElderTreks is one of the few companies that focus entirely on providing tour packages to elderly people. Gary Murtagh, president of Elder Treks, admits that the elderly market makes up a significant part of the adventure travel business. Sharing the same attitude with Murtagh is Michael Geske, national sales director for Exclusive Tours, which specializes in European and Russian river cruises. Geske says 70% of the company's total customers are made up of people aged 50 and above.
