Prim but punchy
Article Abstract:
Protestants account for only 2% of the French population, but they are more influential than this figure might indicate. Protestants are seen as hard working, honest, tolerant, and inflexible, and they have been linked to a number of reforms such as the market economy, abolition of slavery, and declaration of human rights. They are influential among the intelligentsia, in business and in the civil service. Their values are respected except in the case of sexual mores, where they are seen a puritanical and quaint.
