Project management with time, cost, and quality considerations
Article Abstract:
Project crashing, or rushing the completion of a job to save time, may affect the quality of a completed project owing to the increased costs brought by overtime charges, specialized resources and faster wear and tear of equipment. Linear programming models which factor in the trade-offs among time, cost and quality are developed to determine the economics of crashing and achieve crashing at the least possible cost.
